This is Fairtrade FortnightCan you remember the days before a Fairtrade label had ever darkened the door of retail establishments on the high street or the retail park. Now that Fairtrade (not to be confused with some retailer's offerings of 'Fairly Traded') is so well known it's easy to forget that the Fairtrade movement was started by Christians out of concern for justice for hard-working people in poor communities across the world, and Fairtrade suppliers such as Traidcraft still have a Christian ethos. Although we can't support face-to-face Fairtrade events this year let's continue to support and pray for all those involved in Fairtrade. Especially those who have run our Fairtrade stall for over twenty years.
Celebrate the fortnight by having a go at the quiz and crossword below - just click on the picture - and then after, add a few more Fairtrade items to your online shop. Know someone without online access or who prefers not to use the internet? Why not tell them about this?![]() |
